Who We Are

The Newport Beach Fire Department (NBFD) Foundation is governed by an all-volunteer board of directors comprised of civic and business leaders from a variety of sectors within the Newport Beach Community. Together, the board provides high-level strategy, direction, financial oversight, and overall accountability for the Foundation

Our Board

What We Do

The NBFD Foundation provides support for our firefighters, paramedics, lifeguards, and recruits. The Foundation raises funds to help meet the needs of the NBFD’s training, development, and education. Additionally, the Foundation supports initiatives for the mental and physical health of our First Responders, and certain equipment needs that are not funded through city, state or federal budgets.

When Newport Beach firefighters, EMTs, and lifeguards need support, the NBFD Foundation is there to assist. Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the NBFD Foundation supports neighborhoods of Newport Beach by providing funding for equipment and improvements at the fire and EMS stations across Newport Beach.

The NBFD Foundation provides assistance and support to firefighters, EMS, and lifeguards in times of need through various forms of counseling and healthcare services

Professional Development

The most important part of the NBFD are those who serve. The NBFD Foundation is committed to help train and educate these men and women through scholarships and advanced education specifically designed to meet the needs of the NBFD

Equipment & Technology

The NBFD sets high standards for fire suppression, EMS, and lifeguard rescue. The NBFD Foundation assists in funding the equipment, device and apparatus to increase the safety of all personnel operating on the field

Public Education

The NBFD Foundation provides programs/funding to the NBFD to educate, inform, and involve the public in protecting the life and property in the event of an emergency.
